Rebels Fight Hard at Day Two of Bulldog Challenge

Ole Miss Battles Three SEC Opponents
STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Ole Miss Rebels squared off against Alabama, LSU and Tennessee in the second day of competition at the 2020 Bulldog Challenge on Saturday.
Ole Miss competed in six matches, coming up short in hard-fought efforts in both singles and doubles. The Rebels also fought against the elements, with poor weather conditions forcing early morning matches indoors while select matches remained outdoors.
In singles, Tim Sandkaulen lost to Alabama's Patrick Kaukovalta outdoors in straight sets. Both Sandkaulen and Kaukovalta are ITA All-Americans in doubles.
Brady Draheim fought to play the maximum 26 games in two sets, ultimately losing to LSU's Tomas Descarrega in two tiebreaks 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2).
In doubles, the Rebels fell to Tennessee and LSU. Sandkaulen and Jan Soren Hain lost, 8-3, to the duo of Pat Harper and Adam Walton in a rematch of their March 8 matchup. Brady Draheim and Louisiana native Cotter Wilson were defeated by the Tiger's Tomas Descarrega and Tom Pisane, 8-4.
