Web App Will Feed Fan Audio from Home into Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
OXFORD, Miss. โ Ole Miss Athletics announced Tuesday a partnership with HearMeCheer, a web application that will allow fans to cheer on the Rebels from home as they play live at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
ย
As Rebel fans from all over the globe watch the game from home with the web app open, HearMeCheer automatically sends microphone data to its server where they aggregate all of the sounds to create a single audio stream that is played in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
ย
HearMeCheer's patented technology allows fans watching the games at home to cheer into the microphones in their smartphones, tablets and computers and be heard live inside stadiums, arenas, ballparks as well as on radio and television broadcasts from those sites.
ย
Ole Miss will utilize HearMeCheer during this Saturday's game against No. 2 Alabama (5 p.m. CT, ESPN), as well as the Oct. 24 matchup with No. 13 Auburn.
ย
To cheer on the Rebels from home, fans simply need to go to OleMiss.HearMeCheer.com and click play. Once activated, the application aggregates the cheers picked up by fans' microphones and will play it through the loudspeakers at The Vaught as the Rebels take on Southeastern Conference competition this season.
