Hume, Swann Named to ANNIKA Award Watch List

Duo Named to Prestigious Watch List Following Successful Fall
OXFORD, Miss. – A pair of Ole Miss women's golfers were named to the latest watch list for the ANNIKA Award, as announced by the Golfweek and the Golf Channel on Monday.
A month after sharing medalist honors at the prestigious East Lake Cup, Ellen Hume and Kennedy Swann were two of the 20 collegiate women's golfers named to the prestigious watch list.
The ANNIKA Award, presented by Stifel, is awarded annually to the most outstanding women's college golfer, as voted on by players, coaches and media.
Hume appeared in the Rebel lineup during all three fall tournaments and posted a stroke average of 73.4. Hume has carded five straight rounds in which she's shot 73 or better.
The Whitwell, England, native tallied a commanding 7&6 win over South Carolina's Pimpnipa Panthong in the finals of the East Lake Cup to help Ole Miss take home the team title in Atlanta. At the time of her match, Panthong was ranked No. 34 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
Swann, currently No. 4 in Golfweek's individual rankings, finished the fall season with a 72.7 stroke average. Besides her win in Atlanta, Swann posted an 11th place finish at the Blessings Collegiate.
Swann also picked up a match play win at the East Lake Cup with a 1-up win over Texas' Sophie Guo in the semifinals
Ole Miss finished its fall season ranked No. 2 in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings and No. 4 by Golfstat after the wins at East Lake Cup.
