Women’s Golf Earns Highest Ranking in Program History

Rebels Ranked No. 2 in Latest Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings
OXFORD, Miss. – Nearly two weeks after winning both the team and individual titles at the prestigious East Lake Cup, Ole Miss women's golf earned its highest ranking in program history on Monday when the Rebels came in at No. 2 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings.
It marks the fourth straight week that the Rebels have been ranked within the top 5 by Golfweek.
"This is a nice accomplishment for our team and it shows that we put in the work, day in and day out," head coach Kory Henkes said. "This hasn't happened over night for our program, but it has always been a goal to try and be one of the best in the country."
Ole Miss is also one of only two programs in the country that has four or more golfers ranked in the top 25. Senior Kennedy Swann (No. 4) and Ellen Hume (No. 7) both move up in the individual rankings and represent the Rebels inside the top 10. Chiara Tamburlini (No. 20) and Julia Johnson (No. 24) round out the top rankings for Ole Miss.
After three fall tournaments, the Rebels will have a few months off from tourney play before picking back up in the spring.
