Men’s Tennis Adds German International Jakob Cadonau

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss men's tennis welcomes Jakob Cadonau to Oxford. Cadonau has featured as a German international team member throughout his youth career. He joins a German laden Rebel team, which currently features four German players on the active roster. Cadonou will immediately compete for Ole Miss in the spring 2021 season.

Cadonau, a resident of Kleinostheim, Bavaria, Germany, had a very successful youth career. He was the ITF's No. 1 ranked 16U tennis player in Germany and is currently ranked the No. 3 18U German.

Top accomplishments by Cadonau include becoming a German champion three times in doubles as well as once in singles. He also won an ITF doubles title as well as a German international team event.

"We are very excited to have Jakob join our team in January," said Ole Miss head coach Toby Hansson. "He has had proven success on the court and will share in our team's winning mindset. Together with the addition of John (Hallquist Lithén) and Jakob, there is no doubt we will have a very strong roster."

Cadonau graduated high school from Privatgymnasium Weinheim in 2020.
