Women’s Tennis to Face Old Dominion at ITA National Indoor Championships

Rebels Awarded Third Seed in Chapel Hill Region
TEMPE, Ariz. – Ole Miss women's tennis was drafted as the 15th overall team out of the 28 teams to qualify for the ITA National Indoor Championships. The annual tournament is the marquee event of the 2021 ITA Kickoff Weekend (Jan. 22-25). The Rebels will be the third seed in the Chapel Hill, North Carolina region.
The Rebels will joust against the second seeded Old Dominion Monarchs on Friday, Jan. 22, in first-round competition. The Monarchs concluded the 2020 season ranked No. 24 in the final ITA team poll. The winner of Ole Miss and Old Dominion will face either No. 1 overall seed North Carolina or fourth seeded Notre Dame. Defending champion North Carolina has reached the finals seven of the last eight seasons, winning four times.
The 2021 ITA National Indoor Team Championships will consist of 28 total teams. The top seven seeds will host individual pods of four team regions. The seven advancing seeds from each region will compete in the Division I Women's National Team Indoor Championship (Feb. 5-7) at the Greenwood Tennis Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
