Women’s Golf Adds Ellen Hume for Fall 2020

Charleston Southern Transfer Set to Join Rebels Next Fall
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's golf head coach Kory Henkes announced Monday the addition of transfer Ellen Hume to the women's golf program.
Hume will come to Oxford from Charleston Southern, where she will play out the spring season before joining the Rebels in the fall.
"We are excited to welcome Ellen to the Ole Miss family," Henkes said. "She brings a wealth of collegiate and international playing experience to our team. She has aspirations to not only take her game to the next level within the college ranks, but as a professional as well.
"Ellen's work ethic and drive will mesh well with our current team and collectively help us reach our goals. We look for Ellen to be an immediate impact player as soon as she sets foot on campus as an Ole Miss Rebel."
As a freshman, Hume had a 73.22 stroke average appearing in nine events for the Buccaneers. She was selected to the Big South All-Freshman Team and All-Conference Team after four top-10s, including a sixth-place finish at the Big South Championships. She won the 2019 English Women's Amateur last May.
Hume, from London, England, has put together four top-10s during her sophomore season, including a win at the Terrier Intercollegiate to end her fall, after which she was named Big South Golfer of the Week. Hume is currently second in the Big South in terms of scoring average after the fall season (72.44).
