Draheim spent three seasons with Oklahoma State and will have two years of eligibility remaining
OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Men's Tennis has boosted its roster Friday with the addition of Brady Draheim, who spent the last three seasons at Oklahoma State and garnered numerous academic and athletic accolades.
Draheim is a familiar face to the Rebels, having faced them three times in the last two seasons with the Cowboys. He will have two years of eligibility left after earning an additional year due to the NCAA's new legislation on the coronavirus pandemic.
"We are super excited to have Brady join the Rebel family this fall and we know he shares our excitement," head coach Toby Hansson said. "He brings great energy to the court and will fit in very well with our team. We're looking forward to working with Brady and to put him in the best position possible to find success both on the court and in the classroom. We can't wait to get started."
Draheim is a three-time All-Academic Big 12 First Team selection and was also named to the Big 12 Tournament Team and was an All-Big 12 Academic Rookie during his freshman campaign. With the Cowboys, he primarily played at the No. 6 position in singles and rotated between No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
While at Oklahoma State, Draheim compiled over 30 wins in singles and carries an impressive 28-14 record in doubles action.
A product of Prairie Village, Kansas, Brady has competed in several ITA Juniors events in his career and boasts an .857 winning percentage in singles and has won more than 70 percent of his doubles contents Most prominently, he was a semifinalist at the Germany 15K Futures event and has multiple national open championships in doubles. An Austin ITF singles finalist and doubles champion, Draheim holds a career-high UTR (universal tennis rating) ranking of 13.35 and was ranked as high as No. 8 by USTA (US Tennis Association).
He is studying chemistry with a focus in pre-pharmacy, and is immediately eligible to compete for the Rebels.
