Men’s Golf Releases 2020 Fall Schedule

Rebels Begin Play Oct. 5
OXFORD, Miss. – Head coach Chris Malloy has released the men's golf schedule for the upcoming fall season, which will feature the Rebels in three tournaments and an appearance on national television.
"We are extremely excited to get back into tournament play," Malloy said. "The opportunity to have three tournaments against some of the best teams in the entire country is an amazing opportunity."
"Usually you only have one SEC Championship field to play each season. We have that opportunity three times this fall alone."
In accordance with SEC COVID-19 guidelines, schools may compete in up to three team events involving only SEC members or non-conference teams from the geographic region of the SEC school.
Teeing off the season, Ole Miss will head to Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Blessings Collegiate Invitational (Oct. 5-7). All 14 SEC men's golf programs will be present in the 54-hole stroke play tournament at Blessings Golf Club. The three-day tournament will be broadcast live on the Golf Channel from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. CT during each day of play.
The Rebels will then make their way to Franklin, Tennessee for the Legends Collegiate Invitational at the Vanderbilt Legends Club (Oct. 25-27), facing the rest of the conference.
For the final stop of the fall slate, Ole Miss will head to the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate for the second consecutive season (Nov. 9-10). The all-SEC field will be playing at the Old Overton Club located in Vestavia Hills, Alabama just outside of Birmingham. Last year, sophomore Jackson Suber finishing tied for 15th (72-65-73—210) at even par.
Six letterwinners return to this year's squad, highlighted by Suber who led the team with a 71.04 stroke average and earned PING All-Region honors. Four returning Rebels played in all eight tournaments last season, and Cecil Wegener is back after missing the 2019-20 campaign due to injury.
