Men’s Tennis Announces Fall Tournament Schedule
9/8/2020 | Men's Tennis
The Rebels will head to Auburn, Starkville, and Athens
OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss Men's Tennis has announced its fall schedule for the 2020 season, revealed by head coach Toby Hansson Tuesday.
The Rebels are set to compete in three team events, as permitted by the Southeastern Conference. Opponents will be conference members or non-conference teams from the geographic region.
Play begins in early October, as Ole Miss heads to Auburn for the Auburn Fall Invite Oct. 2-4. The Rebels will then return to the court at the end of the month, traveling to the southern part of the Magnolia State for the Mississippi State Invite in Starkville Oct. 23-25.
Ole Miss will conclude its fall campaign in Athens, Ga., for the Georgia Invite the weekend of November 6.
All tournaments are subject to change pending the ongoing coronavirus pandemic situation.
The Rebels return an incredibly experienced roster, led newly-minted All-Americans Tim Sandkaulen and Finn Reynolds. Upperclassman Cotter Wilson also returns, as well as a duo of juniors in Jan Soren Hain and Simon Junk and a pair of sophomores in Nikola Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt. Junk was named the SEC Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year for men's tennis this past spring, and Slavic was named the ITA Southern Region Rookie of the Year.
Ole Miss will welcome two newcomers to their roster, freshman John Hallquist Lithen and Oklahoma State transfer Brady Draheim.
