Reynolds and Slavic Advance to ITA Southern Semifinals

Rebels Finn Reynolds and Nikola Slavic will Face Each Other on Monday
AUBURN, Ala. – Ole Miss men's tennis will have a player guaranteed to compete for the ITA Southern Regional Championships as both Finn Reynolds and Nikola Slavic advanced to the semifinals on Sunday. Reynolds and Slavic will meet on Monday with a spot in the championship match on the line.
No. 1 seed Reynolds and No. 3 seed Slavic both earned two victories on Sunday. In the round of 16 Reynolds defeated Alabama's Enzo Aguiard, 6-2, 6-3, and Slavic won 6-2, 7-5 versus LSU's Vlad Lobak. Reynolds and Slavic also earned straight-set victories in the quarterfinals. Reynolds won 6-4, 6-2 versus Missisippi State's Carles Hernandez. Slavic took on teammate Simon Junk, defeating his doubles partner 6-1, 6-4. The two Rebels were the first Ole Miss teammates to face one another this season.
Slavic and Junks doubles run ended on Sunday as they fell to Auburn's Finn Murgett and Raul Dobai in a tiebreak.
Junk earned career singles victory No. 50 by defeating Dobai in the round of 16.
John Hallquist Lithén, Lukas Engelhardt and Walker Stearns earned consolation singles victories on Sunday and Jakob Cadonau lost his consolation match.
