Lukas Engelhardt Goes Undefeated at GT Invite

Rebels Conclude Fall Season in Atlanta
ATLANTA – Ole Miss men's tennis finalized the 2021 fall collegiate season at the GT Invite on Sunday. Lukas Engelhardt led the Rebels with three singles victories, three doubles wins with zero defeats.
Ole Miss competed versus Georgia Tech, Mississippi State and Georgia State opponents at the GT Invite. The event was held at the Byers Tennis Complex. Competition consisted of one doubles match and one singles match for participating players each day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Overall, the Rebels went 4-2 in doubles and 9-6 in singles across the weekend. Engelhardt led the Rebels with six total victories. He partnered alongside Jakob Cadonau in all three doubles matches. Engelhardt and Cadonau improved to 7-1 teaming together in doubles this fall. Cadonau won two of three singles matches at the GT Invite, winning five of six matches overall.
Notable victories for the Rebels included Engelhardt defeating Mississippi State's No. 54 Davide Tortora, 6-7(5), 6-4, 6-4, on Friday, and John Hallquist Lithén dominating the Bulldogs' No. 36 Nemanja Malesavic, 6-2, 6-1, on Saturday.
The Rebels will begin spring dual competition on Jan. 16, 2022, with a home doubleheader versus Alabama State.
Ole Miss will look to return to the top-15 team rankings to begin the 2022 season. The Rebels ended the 2021 spring season ranked No. 14 in the nation in the ITA Team Rankings.
