First Home Match Set for Jan. 22 Doubleheader Versus ETSU and North Alabama

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's tennis gets ready for a full slate of matches in 2023 including 10 teams ranked in the Final ITA National Team Rankings in 2022.

Ole Miss is set to return to the tennis court in less than a month, following fall tournament action. In the fall, the Rebels competed in the Sea Pines College Tournament, Robert Alison Fall Classic, Duke/NC State Fall Invite, ITA South Region Championships, and the ITA Fall National Championships. Lillian Gabrielsen performed well, compiling a 7-4 singles record and ranking No. 89 in the latest ITA Singles Ranking released on Nov. 16. Ludmila Kareisova ended the fall as the highest ranked Rebel at No. 73 with a 3-3 singles record.

The Rebels will begin the spring with their only non-dual match of the 2023 regular season. Ole Miss will compete in the Michigan Spring Invitational from Jan. 13 to 15 against multiple other programs.

The Rebels will then host five dual matches in a week span, starting with doubleheader against ETSU and North Alabama on Jan. 22. Ole Miss then hosts Memphis on Jan. 24 and Tennessee State in a doubleheader on Jan. 28. The Rebels hit the road to begin February at Baylor on the 3rd and at TCU on the 5th.

Ole Miss women's tennis returns home for four more matches, including the start to conference play. The Rebels host Belmont on Feb. 11 and Kennesaw State on Feb. 24.

The Rebels are scheduled to play all 13 SEC conference matches in succession, beginning on March 3, and leading up to the SEC Championships beginning April 19 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Ole Miss will host Vanderbilt, Kentucky, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia.

The final home dual match of the 2022-23 season is scheduled for April 10 versus Georgia.

The Rebels will seek entrance into the NCAA Championships in Orlando, Florida, from May 17 to 27.
