Henkes, Tamburlini Set to Battle it Out in Annual Arnold Palmer Cup

Tournament to Run July 1-3 at Golf Club de Genève in Switzerland

Vandœuvres, SwitzerlandOle Miss will have representatives on both sides of the coin this weekend at the Arnold Palmer Cup, as head coach Kory Henkes and junior Chiara Tamburlini are set to take part in the annual event at Golf Club de Genève running July 1-3.

Henkes is set to serve as the co-head coach for the Team USA squad, while Tamburlini will compete for the International Team coming off of a WGCA First-Team All-American performance for the Rebels during the 2021-22 collegiate season.  

 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Thursday, June 30 – Opening Ceremony
Friday, July 1 – Mixed Four-Ball Matches
Saturday, July 2 – Morning Foursomes, Afternoon Mixed Foursomes
Sunday, July 3 – Singles, Closing Ceremony/Trophy Presentation  

 ABOUT THE PALMER CUP

The Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), and began in 1997 at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Florida. The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men's and women's university/college golfers, with a team from the United States matching up against a team of International players. All three days of action in Switzerland are set to be played at the prestigious Golf Club de Genève, which will be playing at 6,782 yards as a par 72 over the course of the weekend.
