11/1/2023 | Men's Tennis
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- John Hallquist Lithen wrapped up his time at the ITF Future Fayetteville pro tournament on Wednesday, as the senior battled through qualifying play to make it to the main draw before seeing his fall season come to a close at the Billingsley Tennis Center.
To open the main draw, Lithen matched up against Joshua Sheehy who has been ranked as high as No. 134 in the world in the ITF Rankings.
Each game proved to be a close one throughout the match, as point by point the Gothenburg, Sweden, native fought to try to punch his ticket into the next round of action. Sheehy would ultimately prevail, capturing a 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (4) victory over Lithen to conclude the Rebels' time in Fayetteville.
Ole Miss duo, Nikola Slavic and Lukas Engelhardt, will wrap up the team's fall schedule by taking part in the ITA Fall National Championships in San Diego, California, with action set to run Nov. 1-5.
