Shu Ohba Named to 2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. โ The postseason honors continue to roll in for Ole Miss Soccer's Shu Ohba as she was named to the 2023 United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region Third Team this week.

The goalkeeper from Fujisawa, Japan also earned All-SEC Second Team honors for her performance during the 2023 season.

Ohba started 14 matches in goal for the Rebels this year, posting seven shutouts and allowing just 13 goals. Her 0.91 goals against average was the fifth-lowest in a single season in program history.

The junior led the SEC in saves and saves per game during the regular season, making 67 saves for an average of 4.47 saves per game. She also finished the regular season second in the conference in save percentage at .838.
