11/9/2023 | Women's Golf
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's golf Caitlyn Macnab was named to the final fall watch list for the ANNIKA Award, as announced by Golfweek and the Golf Channel on Thursday.
Macnab found herself amongst 20 of the nation's top collegiate women's golfers named to The ANNIKA Award, presented by Stifel. The award is given annually to the most outstanding women's college golfer, as voted on by players, coaches and media.
The Johannesburg, South Africa, native has lit up the golf course to open her junior campaign for the Rebels. She placed in the top-10 in all four tournaments this fall and notched her second collegiate medalist finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship with a score of 204 (-12).
After Macnab's impressive showing at the Mason Rudolph Championship, the junior also earned her first SEC Golfer of the Week honors.
Throughout Macnab's first semester as a Rebel, she shot a stroke average of 69.08, which leads all golfers in the SEC who have played more than ten rounds. Nine of Macnab's twelve rounds played this fall have been under par, with the junior also leading Ole Miss in birdies (59) and eagles (2).
Macnab and the rest of the Rebel squad will kick off their spring season Feb. 4-6 at the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
