Ole Miss Downed By Texas A&M On the Road

Rebels Back In Oxford Thursday Night
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Ole Miss soccer (5-4-2, 1-2-1 SEC) was in College Station, Texas Friday night for a showdown with Texas A&M (6-4-2, 2-1-1 SEC) that ended in a 4-0 loss for the Rebels.
The Rebels were outshot by the Aggies 26-5 and were only able to place one shot on goal. The four goals surrendered were a season high for Ole Miss as they had not given up more than two in a match all season.
Freshman Addie Yelton made her collegiate debut in goal for Ole Miss and piled up seven saves in her first action. Senior Jenna Kemp put the only shot on goal for the Rebels.
The Aggies scored two goals in each half keeping the pressure on throughout the match. The Rebels took two of the first three shots of the match but were not able to get much going offensively after that.
Texas A&M scored their first two goals in the 35th and 40th minutes of play and took a 2-0 lead into halftime. Their second half goals came in the 55th and 69th minutes of play. They ripped off 18 shots in the second half while holding the Rebels to just two attempts.
Ole Miss will host Missouri next Thursday before traveling to Starkville to take on Mississippi State on Sunday.
