Men’s Basketball Signee John Bol Named McDonald’s All-American

The final rosters for the prestigious 2024 McDonald's All-American teams were announced on Tuesday, January 23, with Ole Miss signee John Bol earning a spot on the East Team.
 
The two teams, East and West, are compiled of 24 of the best high school players in the country among the class of 2024. One of two designated centers on the East team, Bol is listed as the tallest player among all selections, and the only over seven foot tall, listed at 7'1".
 
Playing for Overtime Elite, Bol is averaging 10.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game. The big man from Boma, South Sudan is shooting 56.3 percent from the floor.
 
According to 247Sports, Bol is the second-highest ranked recruit in Ole Miss history, listed at No. 37 in the nation by 247Sports and No. 40 by ESPN. An elite shot-blocker and rebounder, Bol is ranked as the top player in the state of Georgia per ESPN, and has made a reputation as one of the hardest playing big men in the country.
 
Bol is the second Ole Miss signee to earn a spot on the McDonald's All-American team in the last four years.
 
He will be joining an Ole Miss program with incredible momentum after beginning the season with a 13-0 record in non-conference play, tying the program's best start.
