Behind the Scenes with No. 13: The Katie Ramsden File

OXFORD, Miss. – Playing competitive soccer has been in Katie Ramsden’s DNA since she was three. The freshman from Leeds, England has been a bright spot for Ole Miss this season, leading the team in assists. She recorded her first collegiate goal this past Friday against Texas A&M on a free kick.
Why Ole Miss?
“I chose Ole Miss because I think it’s the best next step in my dream of becoming a professional footballer.”
What do you love about your coaches and teammates?
“Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. Obviously moving to a new country can be hard, but everyone is very friendly and helpful.”
What do you love about soccer?
“It just means so much to me. I’ve been playing since I was about three years old. My dream is to be a professional footballer, so if I can make that come true, that would be amazing.”
What advice do you have for your younger self?
“Believe in yourself.”
