Macnab Earns WGCA All-American Accolades
5/24/2024 | Women's Golf
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Ole Miss women's golfer Caitlyn Macnab was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association Division I All-American Second Team, the WGCA announced on Friday.
This marks the third straight year Macnab has received All-American status as the junior has been named to the organization's Honorable Mention Team the past two seasons.
Macnab recently earned her third career medalist finish after tying for the NCAA Bermuda Run Regional individual championship while also leading the Rebels to their first regional title in program history. She currently ranks No. 22 in the latest Scoreboard rankings powered by Clippd.
The Johannesburg, South Africa, native is nearing the end of what has been a career year with the Rebels as the junior holds a team-leading and career-best season stroke average of 70.92 in all 12 tournaments the Rebels have played in this season. This marks the second lowest season stroke average of any Rebel in program history.
The junior is not a stranger to being nationally recognized as Macnab was named to the All-SEC Second Team and the spring watch list for the ANNIKA Award. She was also invited to play at the 2024 Augusta National Women's Amateur and the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup on the International Team roster.
Macnab also brought home her second title of the season at the Mason Rudolph Championship, along with tallying seven top 10 finishes on the year. The junior has found herself multiple times throughout the Ole Miss record book, tying for the lowest 54-hole score in Ole Miss history, shooting a 203 (-10) at the Cougar Classic. She also ties for the second most rounds in the 60s with ten so far this season and ties for most rounds below par in a season with 19.
