Women’s Golf Trio Recognized as WGCA All-American Scholars

OXFORD, Miss. – The academic awards continue to stack up for Ole Miss women's golf as Justine Fournand, Andrea Lignell and Natacha Host Husted were named 2023-24 All-American Scholars, the Women's Golf Coaches Association announced on Monday.
This marks Fournand's third consecutive year receiving the prestigious honor while Lignell and Husted were previously recognized on the WGCA Scholar Team in 2022.
The criteria for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players.
To be selected, a student-athlete must: have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster throughout the conclusion of the team's season, and have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
Capping off her masters in Interdisciplinary Studies, Fournand earned an outstanding 3.67 cumulative GPA after balancing graduate school and competing in every round this season. Along with her three career WGCA All-American Scholar honors, the Erstein, France native was also recognized on the 2022 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
Lignell, who just concluded her fifth year as a Rebel, has earned many academic honors throughout her career, garnering a spot on the 2022 and 2023 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll and most recently receiving CSC Academic All-District honors. The most recent graduate capped off her collegiate career with an impressive 3.72 cumulative GPA.
In her Ole Miss career, Husted has also accumulated many academic awards including being named to the 2021-22 First-Year SEC Honor Roll and to the 2023 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll. The Copenhagen, Denmark, native has most recently been honored to the CSC Academic All-District Team as she has strung together a team-high 3.96 cumulative GPA.
