LAHNICH, Ireland – Ole Miss' Michael La Sasso and Caitlyn Macnab each had weeks to remember for Team USA and Team International at the Arnold Palmer Cup held at Lahnich Golf Club. La Sasso, who made his APC debut, picked up a victory for Team USA across mixed fourball. Macnab impressed in her second consecutive appearance for Team International, winning three matches in mixed fourball, mixed foursomes and singles play. Team USA secured the victory 32 ½ - 27 ½ improving their all-time series lead to 15-12-1.

La Sasso started strong for the United States winning his mixed fourball pairing with South Florida's Melanie Green 4&3 defeating the duo of Phichaksn Maichon from Texas A&M and Mirabel Ting from Florida State. La Sasso and Green carded eight birdies to pick up a point on day one.

Macnab secured a point for Team International in her first match with partner Jacob Skov Olesen of Arkansas. The pair stepped to the 18th tee box all square and birdied the last to secure a 1-up win over Maisie Filler of Florida and Ian Gilligan of Florida.

Day two of morning fourball and mixed foursomes saw La Sasso paired with the No. 1 player in the world according to amateur golf rankings in Gordon Sargent of Vanderbilt and his day one partner Melanie Green. The pairs recorded 10 biridies on the day, five in each match.

Macnab and fellow SEC partner Louise Rydqvist of South Carolina had the chance to compete together in the morning foursome matchup. Both players competed in this past years’ Augusta National Women’s Amateur as well. Macnab and Arkansas’ Jacob Skov Olesen secured a 2&1 victory over Emory’s Jackson Klutznick and Texas’ Farah O’Keefe in the afternoon session. The duo birdied the first two holes and led the entire match.

Day three singles action saw La Sasso compete against Josele Ballester of Arizona State. Scoring conditions were tough as both players combined for only three birdies. Macnab secured a point for the International side winning 5&4 over UCLA’s Zoe Campos. She grabbed the early 1-up lead on the first hole and tallied five birdies on her scorecard during the final round.

The pair look forward to taking lessons they gained from their week in Ireland into next season, as La Sasso and Macnab looks to build upon their All-American campaign.
