100 Wins in the SJB Pavilion: A Look Back

1/10/2025 | Men's Basketball

Ole Miss men’s basketball started 2025 off with a bang defeating Georgia 63-51 in their SEC opener. The win marked the 100th victory for the men's program in the history of the SJB Pavilion. As the Rebels look to keep adding to that number in conference play, here is a look back at some of the most memorable wins in the history of our home arena:

OPENING NIGHT:

Ole Miss Men's Basketball Alabama on January 7th, 2016 in the opening game at The Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford, MS.

9,500 fans packed the SJB Pavilion for its Grand Opening on January 7, 2016 to see their Rebels erase a 12-point halftime deficit against Alabama. Sebastian Saiz dominated the Tide by recording a 21-point, 16-rebound double-double and Stefan Moody scored 21 points of his own in the win.

MOODY SHINES ON SENIOR NIGHT:

"What can you say about (Stefan) Moody?" Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy said. "He's one of the most electrifying players in our history."

Moody dropped 43 on rival Mississippi State during Senior Night at the SJB Pavilion on March 2, 2016. He finished 11 of 24 from the field, including 6 of 12 from 3-point range. He was 15 of 18 on free throws and also had six assists.

The 43-point performance still stands as the most-ever scored on Craddock Court.

BACK-TO-BACK:

Hosting a pair of games against the 10th-ranked team in the country in 2020-21, the Rebels took care of business with a 52-50 victory over No. 10 Tennessee and an 80-59 win over No. 10 Missouri just eight days later.

BREEIN TYREE 40-PIECE:

Outscoring Mississippi State by himself in the second half 27-24, Breein Tyree set the SJB Pavilion ablaze with a career-high 40 points to help propel Ole Miss to a dominant 83-58 victory.

CULTURE WEEK

Head coach Chris Beard brought his brand of basketball to the SJB Pavilion during the 2023-24 season, as the Rebels hosted a pair of big games during their non-conference schedule in early December. Hosting an eventual NCAA Final Four team in NC State for the ACC/SEC Challenge on Tuesday, the Rebels picked up a convincing win to start of Culture Week 72-52. Ole Miss then hosted Memphis for a rivalry game on Saturday afternoon, coming out on top of a battle 80-77 in front of a packed SJB Pavilion crowd.

#BEATSTATE:

The 17-3 Ole Miss Rebels hosted Mississippi State for a Tuesday-night battle in January of 2024, breaking a halftime tie to come out on top 86-82 in front of a record crowd of 10,630.
