AJ Storr Lights it Up From Three as Men’s Basketball Cruises by Louisiana Monroe

OXFORD, Miss. – AJ Storr and Ilias Kamardine led the way for Ole Miss as they combined for 34 points and the Rebels defeated Louisiana Monroe 86-65 on Friday night in the SJB Pavilion.
Ole Miss (2-0) exploded in the first half of the game, led by Storr, who scored 16 of his 19 points in the first half, which included three shots from beyond the arc.
Kamardine joined Storr in helping propel the Rebels in the first half, as he scored 12 points with four assists and had three steals. A step-back three on the left side of the elbow at the 1:16 mark from the Frenchman helped put the Rebels up 47-25.
In the second half, the Rebels continued their attack, shooting 7-of-13 from deep. Senior Malik Dia scored seven of his 11 points to help close out the game against the Warhawks (0-2).
For the second game in a row, Ole Miss had three double-digit scorers Storr (19), Kamardine (15) and Dia (11). The Rebels finished the game shooting 31-of-66, 47.0%, from the field and 15-of-33, 45.5%, from beyond the arc.
Ole Miss returns to action in the SJB Pavilion this coming Tuesday, November 11 in a rivalry game against Memphis. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. on the SEC Network.
