2/18/2025 | Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Athletics

OXFORD, Miss. – We are now less than one month away from Selection Sunday, so let's take a look at the latest NCAA Tournament bracket projections for Ole Miss men's and women's basketball.

Men's Basketball Bracketology
Sitting inside the Top 25 at 19-7 overall and 8-5 in SEC play, Ole Miss is firmly in the tournament field with five games left on the schedule, including three opportunities to add marquee wins against Top 10 teams.

NCAA's Andy Katz projects the Rebels as the second No. 5 seed in the West Region, paired with No. 4 seed Arizona. Both ESPN and CBS have Ole Miss as a No. 6 seed in the South Region, playing its first two games in Milwaukee. ESPN has Ole Miss matched with No. 3 seed Wisconsin, while CBS projects Iowa State.

Currently, the Rebels are No. 25 in the NET Rankings with five Quad 1 wins and all seven of their losses coming against Quad 1 foes. The Rebels have faced the 18th-toughest schedule and rank No. 2 in remaining strength of schedule according to ESPN's Power Index.

Women's Basketball Bracketology
The picture is very similar for the women, who are sitting just outside the Top 25 at 17-8 overall and 8-5 in SEC play, firmly in the tournament field with three regular-season games left, including two marquee matchups against No. 6 South Carolina (Buy Tickets) and a trip to No. 7 LSU.

NCAA's Autumn Johnson has Ole Miss as the No. 6 seed in the Birmingham 3 Region, paired with a familiar opponent in No. 3 seed Kentucky. ESPN also tabbed Ole Miss as a No. 6 seed, in Spokane 4 playing its first two in Raleigh against No. 3 seed NC State.

Currently, the Rebels are No. 13 in the NET Rankings with four Quad 1 wins and all but one of their defeats coming against Quad 1 opponents. Yolett McPhee-McCuin's squad is No. 8 in strength of schedule.
