Isac Strömberg and Kai Milburn Secure Ranked Win Over No. 26 Duo, Men’s Tennis Falls to Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. - Despite coming out hot to win the doubles point, Ole Miss men's tennis dropped their match against Georgia, 6-1, in a Saturday afternoon dual at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens.
The 78th-ranked duo of Isac Strömberg and Kai Milburn had an electric day on the doubles court. The Rebels went to work and secured a gritty 7-5 win over No. 26 Freddy Blaydes and Niels Ratiu, marking the pair's third ranked win together on the season.
Benjamin Martin and Matthieu Chambonniere captured a gritty 7-6 (7-4) victory over Thomas Paulsell and Oscar Pinto Sansano on court two to clinch the doubles point for the Rebels. The freshman pair has secured nine victories together, the most by any Rebel doubles duo this season.
After securing the doubles point, the Rebels struggled to find momentum on the singles court, ultimately falling to Georgia on its home courts.
Ole Miss will remain on the road and be back in action against Kentucky on Thursday, April 3 at 4:00 p.m. CT at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington.
