Ole Miss Stands at No. 22 in Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings

CLEVELAND – After placing both men's and women's basketball in the NCAA Tournament—and then the Sweet 16—for the first time in school history, Ole Miss is in position for one of its best Learfield Directors' Cup finishes in school history.

Through the winter season, Ole Miss sits at No. 22 in the Directors' Cup standings. If that mark holds up through the final rankings following the spring season, it would match its second-best finish ever in 2021 and would be just two spots shy of its best finish ever, a No. 20 ranking in 2022.

At 436.75 points, Ole Miss ranks 22nd nationally and seventh among Southeastern Conference members. The SEC leads all conferences with nine schools in the Top 25 of the Learfield rankings through the winter.

After totaling 162.0 points in the fall, Ole Miss had a spectacular winter season with men's basketball, women's basketball, rifle and men's indoor track all excelling in NCAA competition.

Both the men and women earned 64 points for their Sweet 16 berths, while men's track added 66.75 with a Top 10 finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Rifle brought home the biggest prize: 80 points for a fourth-place finish at NCAAs.

The final standings will be revealed after the conclusion of the College World Series in late June/early July.
