Noah Schlagenhauf Earns 11th Straight Dual Singles Win, Men’s Tennis Drops Match at No. 22 Florida
3/13/2026 | Men's Tennis
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ole Miss men's tennis senior Noah Schlagenhauf has had an exceptional spring season, currently holding a perfect 11-0 record in dual singles matches.
Despite Schlagenhauf's victory, No. 23 Ole Miss (14-4, 2-4 SEC) fell to No. 22 Florida (8-8, 2-4 SEC) at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex, 6-1, on Friday evening.
The Rebels put up a good fight in doubles, but the Gators were able to get the early advantage after winning the doubles point.
Schlagenhauf's singles match was a back and forth dual on court five. The Rebel senior won the first set 6-2, but Florida's Kevin Edengren came back and secured the second, 6-3. It all came down to the tiebreaker third set, where Schlagenhauf remained persistent and got the edge, 1-0 (12-10), to mark his 11th consecutive dual win and 16th overall singles victory this season.
Vlado Jankanj played an impressive match against 31st-ranked Jeremy Jin on court four, winning the first set, 6-4. He then narrowly dropped the next two sets in tiebreakers, 7-6 (11-9), 1-0 (10-4).
Florida was able to clinch five singles wins behind the consistent showings of their four ranked singles student-athletes.
Next up, the Rebels will travel straight to Columbia, South Carolina to take on the No. 14 Gamecocks on Sunday, March 15 at 12 p.m. CT.
