Forget the Necktie: Football Calendar Makes Unique Father's Day Gift

OXFORD, Miss. -
The necktie - infamous as the classic Father's Day gift - often suits as a last-ditch idea, but there's a better option this year: the University of Mississippi Football Calendar.
The inaugural 16-month, 2004-05 calendar includes modern-day action shots as well as vintage Ole Miss football images. Featured players include Eli Manning and Chris Collins, as well as Archie Manning, Showboat Boykin and the 1893 Ole Miss football squad.
"This is a great calendar," said Derek Horne, UM assistant athletic director. "It shares the success of the 2003 football team, and it includes historical facts, notable dates and school records."
Developed by Nautilus Publishing Co. of Oxford, the calenda is tops among Southeastern Conference schools, said Neil White, publisher and creative designer for Nautilus. The 12-by-12-inch calendar features beautiful imagery by various local photographers, showcases player records and statistics and includes Ole Miss football trivia.
