Students Athletes Volunteer in Local Community

OXFORD, Miss. - The CHAMPS Life Skills program at Ole Miss will have student-athletes serving as volunteers to give out special items to elementary students in the Oxford community here Friday, October 3 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. The activities will take place at Oxford Elementary and Bramlett Elementary schools.
CHAMPS Life Skills, a program sponsored by Division IA athletic directors, with the support of the NCAA, is designed to address the "total development" of the student-athlete. CHAMPS provides a well-rounded program for student-athletes to develop the individual skills to lead a successful, productive life and become leaders of, and contributors to, communities and the nation.
OXFORD, Miss. - The University of Mississippi Panhellenic and Interfraternity Councils will be sponsoring Trick or Treating on Sorority Row adjacent to the Grove here Saturday afternoon from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
"The special event is being done to accommodate parents who will be bringing children to the Ole Miss-LSU football game this Saturday," said Associate Dean of Students Thomas "Sparky" Reardon. Parents are encouraged to accompany small children.
