- Ole Miss returns home for the first time since Sept. 9 to take on Vanderbilt at for Homecoming. It marks the start of a three-game home stretch, which continues with LSU (Oct. 21) and Arkansas (Oct. 28).
- Saturday marks the 92nd meeting between Ole Miss and Vanderbilt dating back to 1894. It is the third-most played series of all-time between Ole Miss and its 2017 opponents (Mississippi State, LSU). The Rebels lead the series 50-39-2 overall and 23-6 in Oxford. The Rebels have also won three of the last four with Vandy.
- After playing the No. 1 and No. 12 team, Ole Miss gets a break from top 25 competition this week.
- Matt Luke is in his 10th season at Ole Miss but first season at the helm, taking the reins of his alma mater as the 38th head coach in program history ... Luke became the fifth straight Ole Miss head coach to post a victory in his first game on the Rebel sideline.
- In the last outing, Ole Miss outscored Auburn 20-9 in the second half and went on to tally 429 yards of total offense.
- Senior RB Jordan Wilkins went over the 100-yard mark for the second-straight game after rushing for 65 and hauling in a career high 66 yards off five catches.
- The Rebels lead the SEC and rank sixth nationally in passing offense (358.4 ypg).
- Ole Miss is also second in the league and 18th nationally in pass efficiency (156.15)
- Sophomore QB Shea Patterson leads the SEC in completions/game (26.8), passing TDs (13), passing yards (1792) and passing ypg (358.4). He's second in the league in completion percentage (66.3), points responsible for/game (15.6) and yards per pass attempt (8.87).

LAST MEETING
November, 19, 2016 - Vanderbilt 38, Ole Miss 17: Ole Miss scored the first 10 points of the game, but the Rebels couldn't overcome 31 unanswered points by Vanderbilt, falling 38-17 in Nashville. True freshman quarterback Shea Patterson made his second career start and linked up with tight end Evan Engram for 102 yards, but the Rebels couldn't establish an offensive rhythm in the road defeat.
September 26, 2015 - #3 Ole Miss 27, Vanderbilt 16 at Oxford: The Rebels entered the game with the nation's highest-scoring offense averaging 64.0 points per game, and scored just 20 points through the first three quarters, but No. 3 Ole Miss outlasted the Commodores 27-16 in front of a sellout crowd of 60,654 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to improve to 4-0 (2-0 SEC) on the season.
September 6, 2014 - #15 Ole Miss 41, Vanderbilt 3 at Nashville: No. 15 Ole Miss scored early and often, while the Rebel defense gave up only a field goal in the fourth quarter en route to a dominating 41-3 win over Vanderbilt in both teams' SEC opener. Bo Wallace threw for 320 yards and a touchdown to lead the charge. Ole Miss scored on seven of its first eight possessions with the shortest drive covering 67 yards, and the Rebels never punted.
August 29, 2013 - Ole Miss 39, Vanderbilt 35 at Nashville: Bo Wallace tied a career high of 31 completions of 47 attempts for 283 yards and WR Laquon Treadwell had his college debut with nine catches for 82 yards, the most catches by a Rebel since Mike Espy had nine against Auburn in 2005. The Rebels managed to snap Vanderbilt's three-game win streak in the series after scoring 29 points in the second half and securing the 39-35 victory.
November 10, 2012 - Vanderbilt 27, Ole Miss 26 at Oxford: Bo Wallace passed for a career-high 403 yards and Ja-Mes Logan had eight receptions for 160 yards - both career highs - but the Rebels couldn't hold on and fell to Vanderbilt 27-26. Vanderbilt scored 14 unanswered points in the third quarter to cut the Rebels' lead to three points.
