John Raybon

John Raybon (MS, LAT, ATC) has served as the athletic trainer for Ole Miss men's basketball since 2023.

In 2025-26, Ole Miss went on a historic run at the SEC Tournament, becoming the first No. 15 seed or higher in an NCAA Division I conference tournament to reach the semifinals. The Rebels earned wins over Texas, Georgia and nationally ranked Alabama before falling to nationally ranked Arkansas in overtime in the semifinal round.

During the 2024-25 campaign, the Rebels picked up 24 wins and the program's second-ever NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance. Ole Miss earned NCAA Tournament victories over North Carolina and Iowa State. In his first season in Oxford, the Rebels earned 20 wins and got off to a 13-0 start, tying the program record for the longest winning streak to open a season.

Prior to joining Ole Miss, Raybon worked with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2022-23.

Raybon earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Alabama in 2019. During his time in Tuscaloosa, he worked with the Crimson Tide's basketball, football, softball and golf programs.

He continued his education at the University of South Florida, earning his master's degree while serving as a graduate assistant. At USF, Raybon worked primarily with the Bulls' football and men's tennis programs.

Raybon is a board-certified athletic trainer and holds an athletic trainer license in the state of Mississippi. He is also CPR/AED certified.

A native of Jackson, Alabama, Raybon currently resides in Oxford with his wife, Bailey and his son James.
