Drew Hanson was hired as the director of men's basketball of marketing in July of 2025.
He works to promote Ole Miss Men’s Basketball through creative marketing campaigns, student engagement initiatives, fan experiences and game-day promotions.
In his first season with the team, Ole Miss went on a historic run at the SEC Tournament, becoming the first No. 15 seed or higher in an NCAA Division I conference tournament to reach the semifinals. The Rebels earned wins over Texas, Georgia and nationally ranked Alabama before falling to nationally ranked Arkansas in overtime in the semifinal round.
Before joining Ole Miss, Hanson was the Vice President, ticket sales for the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL, where he held multiple roles in the organization’s ticket sales department. During his time with the Thunder, he helped set franchise records in season ticket and group sales and played a role in generating eight of the 10 highest-revenue games in franchise history.
Hanson is a native of Whiting, Iowa.
