Harold Warren enters his first season as a member of the Ole Miss soccer staff.
Warren comes to Oxford after one season at Washington State under Todd Shulenberger.
Prior to Pullman, Warren served as the head coach of Utah Royals FC Arizona U17, U16, and U15 clubs. He also served as the Phoenix-based club’s Girls College Director, overseeing the development and recruitment of prospective college student-athletes.
Warren served as the head coach at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), leading the Blazers from 2011 through the 2015 season. After leading the Blazers to an 8-29-1 record in his first two seasons, Warren completed a turnaround season in 2013 as he led UAB to an 11-7-2 record. It marked just the seventh season in which the Green and Gold reached 11 wins, dating back to the inaugural season in 1996.
Prior to UAB, Warren spent four seasons on the west coast, serving as the associate head coach at USC, helping the Trojans to a NCAA Division-I National Championship in 2007. The 2007 campaign saw the Trojans finish with a 20-3-2 record as they recorded 15 shutouts and allowed only 13 goals all season. In the four years Warren was on staff at USC, the Trojans earned berths in the NCAA Tournament each of those seasons while compiling a cumulative record of 61-20-10.
Prior to USC, Warren spent four seasons at Arizona. He helped the Wildcats to an NCAA Tournament third round appearance in 2005. The Wildcats would tally 40 wins over four seasons with Warren on staff.
Warren served one year as an assistant at UC Irvine in 2002, where he was also responsible for directing the UC Irvine Soccer Academy. He spent three years as an assistant coach for the California Olympic Development Program’s. Warren spent 17 years coaching at the club level, capturing league championships with Riverside Soccer Club and the Long Beach Sidekicks. From 1991-92, he was the head coach for the boys’ varsity team at Savanna High School in Anaheim.
As a player, Warren was a defender and a forward at Riverside Community College before transferring to Cal State Fullerton in 1989. He then transferred to Cal Poly Pomona, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in communications in 2002.
