Mason Portalski enters his first season as a member of the Ole Miss soccer staff.
Portalski comes to Oxford after one season as Washington State under Todd Shulenberger.
Prior to his return to Pullman, Portalski spent two seasons at Army West Point coaching the goalkeepers. Under his guidance, Sage Strohman had the eighth best goals against average in program history at 0.89.
He arrived at West Point after two seasons at Coastal Carolina where he assisted the program in recruiting efforts and as a goalkeepers coach.
Prior to Coastal, Portalski spent two seasons at the University of Northern Colorado. In his first season on staff, the Bears won the 2019 Big Sky Conference Tournament Champions and made an appearance in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. Portalski helped guide the Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year in Madde Barkow, seven All-Conference athletes and one All-Region selection.
Prior to his time at UNC, Portalski was a Graduate Assistant at Western Illinois where he worked with goalkeepers and earned his masterโs degree in sport management.
He spent a summer at The Technical Institute where he was the first assistant coach for the Bluebonnets of the WPSL. In his first season, the team finished the season as South Texas Conference Champions and made it to the National Round of 16.
Portalski played collegiately at Whittier College from 2012-13.
He currently holds his United Soccer Coaches National Diploma, Levels 1 & 2 Goalkeeping Diploma's, and his USSF E license.
