After working as a mentor and then an intern within the FedEx Student-Athlete Success Center, Armegis Spearman transitioned to his new role as a learning specialist in 2016. He currently oversees the reading program, writing/math lab, and assists with the tutorial staff interview process. Spearman began his career in the office in the Fall of 2014, working as a mentor. While in this role, he worked with student athletes in multiple sports. He used this opportunity to get involved in the R.E.B.S Summer Bridge Program for freshmen and incoming student-athletes, developing the essential skills to successfully transition from previous academic institutions. As an intern, Spearman gained valuable experience in a dual role within the academic enrichment and counseling departments.

Prior to rejoining the Rebels, Spearman served as a graduate assistant linebacker coach before taking over the full time duties after one season at Central Methodist University. He continued his education at CMU, pursuing a Master of Education degree while coaching linebackers for the CMU football program.

As a former collegiate and professional athlete, Spearman provides in-depth insight to assist in the overall development of the student-athlete. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi in 2012 and added a Master of Arts in Higher Education/Student Personnel from the University of Mississippi in 2018.

Spearman is a native of Mississippi. He lives in Oxford and has a daughter, Ava. He enjoys spending free time fishing and playing music for his daughter.
