Bailey Turner is in his first year with the Ole Miss Communications office. He was named Director of Communications for men's basketball in July 2026.
Prior to Ole Miss, Turner spent the previous four years at the University of Iowa. Where he was promoted to associate director in Sept. 2024 after serving as an assistant director from 2022-24.
Following graduation, he was an assistant SID at North Texas in 2021-22 and an athletic communications assistant at Middle Tennessee State. Turner was also a student assistant at Iowa from 2017-20.
In his time at Iowa, he promoted four WNBA draft picks, a two-time National Player of the Year, consensus first-team All-America selection and Big Ten Player of the Year. The Hawkeyes have won a pair of Big Ten Championships, hosted the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament and made the national title game in consecutive seasons. Turner played a pivotal role Iowa's 2024 and 2025 Super 11 Award recognition from the Football Writers Association of America for the best performing college sports communicators departments in NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision.
Turner also served as the media coordinator for the Indiana Fever exhibition game against the Brazilian National Team and the 2025 John Deere Classic.
Turner was also named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators 30 Under 30 list. Selected by his peers in CSC, the honor recognizes strategic, creative, and digital athletics communications professionals across all levels of college sports in the U.S. and Canada.
In addition to men's basketball, he has oversight on men's golf and women's golf at Ole Miss.
The Boone, Iowa, native earned his bachelor’s degree in sports and recreation management from the University of Iowa in 2020.
