Matt Ball joined the Ole Miss athletics department in April 2011 and was named Senior Associate Athletics Director for Administration in October 2018.
Ball came to the Ole Miss from Oklahoma. While at OU, Ball was responsible for the management of many areas within the compliance office and served as a primary contact for NCAA and Big 12 rule interpretations for coaches, administrators, staff, student-athletes and boosters.
Ball began his compliance career during a practicum with the University of Tennessee women's athletics department in 2003. He was an intern at Lamar University during the fall of 2003 before being named a compliance coordinator at Baylor University in the spring of 2004. After less than two years, he was promoted to a director of compliance at Baylor, a position he served until his move to Oklahoma in May 2007.
A 2001 graduate of Central Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in secondary education (business), Ball also holds a master's degree in sport management from the University of Tennessee.
He and his wife, Erin, have three boys: Braden, Camden and Cason.
