Justin Light joined the FedEx Student-Athlete Success Center staff in 2010. He currently serves as Senior Academic Counselor for Football and Women’s Tennis. He also assists with managing internal communications and reports within the FedEx Academic Center, oversees the department’s process and policy manual, and maintains constant contact with the student-athletes via digital signage.
Prior to Ole Miss, he served as a graduate assistant for Men's Golf at the University of Tennessee. He earned his Master of Science degree in Sport Management in 2009 and Bachelor of Science degree in Communications in 2008 from Tennessee.
Light has been a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) since 2012 and currently serves as the chair of the Academic Programs & Practices Committee.. In 2015, he became a graduate of the N4A’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) for the New Practitioner track. He became individually certified in 2013 and presented at the organization's national convention in 2014 and 2019.
A Greeneville, Tennessee, native, he and his wife, Dr. Sarah Swauger-Light, have one son, Van Morgan.
