Nolan Jones joined the Rebels as its associate athletic director for football operations in April of 2019.

A veteran in football operations, Jones joins the Rebels after spending the last three seasons as director of football operations at Kansas.

Prior to Kansas, Jones held the title of director of football operations at Kent State from 2015-16.

Jones previously served as assistant director of player personnel at Northwestern University, as well as two years as the director of football operations at Michigan in 2013 and 2014.

Before joining Michigan’s staff, Jones spent two years at Kentucky as director of football operations. Prior to Kentucky, he made his first stop at Northwestern and stayed on staff for six years (five years as director of football operations for five years and one year as assistant director of football operations).

At Kentucky and Northwestern, Jones coordinated the day-to-day internal and external operations for the football program and managed the travel schedule, annual budget and daily schedule for the entire support staff. He also directed the high school camps and coaching clinics, while serving as the liaison to NFL personnel. At Northwestern, he coordinated operations for three bowl game appearances and a 2010 game at Wrigley Field against Illinois.

Prior to his first stint at Northwestern, Jones spent one season as director of football operations at Princeton University, where he coordinated the internal and external operations, including all logistical aspects of recruiting. He also served as the liaison for the football program to the athletic department and university.

Since 2002, Jones has also been at Southern Miss, Princeton and Eastern Kentucky.

Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a master’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in sport administration from Eastern Kentucky University. While at Eastern Kentucky, he also served as director of football operations and a graduate assistant coach during the 2003 season.

Jones and his wife, Lisa, have two sons, Brycen and Parker, and a daughter, Lauren.
