Douglas Florencio

In his first season as Volunteer Assistant coach with Ole Miss, Douglas Florencio helped lead Ole Miss to an 11-17 record, including a 7-11 mark in conference play. He helped tutor a young Rebel team that saw three freshmen seeing significant playing time at setter, libero and outside hitter. Florencio guided the Rebels to four individual weekly conference awards, pair of All-SEC honors and two AVCA South All-Region nods.
Florencio comes to Oxford after capping off his collegiate volleyball career at the University of Charleston and King University. In addition to playing volleyball, he also served as a member of the women’s team staff at both institutions.
As an athlete, Florencio appeared in 38 matches in his three years at King University. A middle blocker, he tallied 129 career kills while hitting .321 and 112.0 total blocks. He was also named to the Academic All-Conference his junior and senior seasons. At Charleston, he saw action in a pair of matches.
Florencio is a Hilton Head Island, S.C. native.
