Former Rebel standout Kylan Becker completed her first season as a volunteer assistant coach for Ole Miss. In her role, Becker works closely with the Rebel outfielders and slappers, also greatly contributing to the team's scouting reports.

During Becker's first season as a coach, a campaign shortened to just 25 games, Becker's tutelage helped slapper Tate Whitley build off of a strong rookie season to put up strong numbers as a sophomore. The lefty batted .302 for the season, scoring six runs with two more driven in, posting a pair of doubles. Whitley demonstrated a much more patient eye at the plate, registering nine walks in just 19 games played after drawing two free passes in 2019.

One of the top defensive gloves in the country during her playing career, Becker's coaching paid dividends for the Rebel outfielders in 2020. Despite breaking in two starters who primarily played in the infield the previous season, Ole Miss outfielders were saddled with just three errors on the season.

Becker, who graduated from Ole Miss in December, 2018 and spent the fall of 2019 as a student coach for the Rebels, carved out one of the greatest careers ever seen on a softball field in Oxford. The Miami native twice earned First Team All-SEC and NFCA All-South Region laurels and in 2019 became just the second player in program history to receive NFCA All-America distinction.

Littered throughout the Rebel record book, Becker ranks top-10 in school history in nearly every category conceivable, including batting average, hits, triples, RBIs, runs, walks, total bases, slugging percentage, on-base percentage, steals, fielding percentage, games played and games started.

Finishing off her stellar career in style in 2019, Becker put forth possibly the greatest season Ole Miss has ever seen. On the way to earning just about every postseason honor imaginable, the pacey centerfielder led the team in batting average (.426), runs (55), triples (9), total bases (109), walks (22), on-base percentage (.489), stolen bases (34) and fielding percentage (.984), setting the school records for runs, triples and steals. Becker reached base in 53 of 61 games on the season, registering the second longest hitting streak in school-history at 15. Additionally, she played a part in one of the all-time great moments in Rebel lore, scoring the walk-off run in Ole Miss’ NCAA Regional Championship win over No. 7 Louisiana.

2018 was another banner season for Becker, becoming the first Rebel to ever be named to the USA National Team, comping for the Stars and Stripes in the Japan All-Star Series in Tokyo. As a junior, Becker led the Rebs with a .329 batting average and a .407 on-base percentage. The year prior, Becker became the school’s first-ever First Team All-SEC selection after posting a .375 average with 34 runs scored and 31 more driven in, receiving a Third Team NFCA All-South Region nod.

Following her college career, Becker entered the professional ranks with Scrap Yard Fast Pitch, playing for one season during the summer of 2019.
