Brooks Leads Lady Rebels To 3-1 Win Over Butler

Albuquerque, N.M. -- Freshman Bridget Brooks continued her scorching play for the Ole Miss Rebels with two goals in a 3-1 victory over the Butler Bulldogs at the New Mexico Women's Soccer Classic on Sunday.
Ole Miss improves to 10-3 overall, while the Bulldogs drop to 4-6 on the year.
Brooks put Ole Miss on the board with her 10th goal of the season in the first two minutes of the game off an assist from Courtney Biddle.
Biddle picked up another assist on Amaris Weeks' goal three minutes later that gave the Rebels a quick 2-0 advantage over the Bulldogs.
Butler's Martha Gudiel brought the Bulldogs within one at 2-1 with a goal in the 12th minute of the game.
The score remained 2-1 until Brooks scored her second goal of the day off an assist from junior Sarah Wong in the 70th minute. Ole Miss kept the Bulldogs off the scoreboard during the final 20 minutes to prevail with the 3-1 victory.
Ole Miss returns to Oxford to take on Memphis on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. Admission to all Ole Miss soccer games is free of charge.
