OXFORD, Miss. - Freshman Bridget Brooks scored the game-winning goal in the 80th minute to give the Ole Miss Rebels a 3-2 win over the Memphis Lady Tigers Thursday night.

The Rebels improved to 11-3 overall, while Memphis dropped to 3-8 overall.

"Memphis scored first tonight, but we didn't get down," Ole Miss head coach Steve Holeman said. "We maintained our composure and made the plays when we needed to. Our players did a great job and showed a lot of heart out there."

Meredith Smith gave the Lady Tigers a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute, but Ole Miss responded with a game-tying goal by Amaris Weeks just 50 seconds later.

With the first half winding down, Brooks put Ole Miss ahead 2-1 with her 12th goal of the season.

The Lady Tigers tied the game in the 70th minute on a goal by Ali Baker. But, Brooks's second goal of the night with 10 minutes remaining put the Rebels ahead for good.

Brooks has now scored a team-high 13 goals on 24 shots this season and has scored two or more goals in a game four times this year.

With the win, Ole Miss has now won five of it's last six games and is unbeaten at home this year.

Ole Miss travels to Lexington, Ky., to take on the Kentucky Wildcats on Friday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m. CST. The game will be televised by Fox Sports Net South.
