Hicks Helps Ole Miss Dump Prairie View, 98-74

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Marcus Hicks scored 14 points and Mississippi extended its non-conference home winning streak to 32 games with a 98-74 win over Prairie View on Wednesday.
Ole Miss (11-1), which holds the third longest home non-conference winning streak in the nation, had five scorers in double-figures and gave the Panthers (2-8) their fifth consecutive loss.
Prairie View, a Southwestern Athletic Conference member, is 0-6 all-time against Ole Miss. The Rebels are 18-0 against SWAC teams.
Mississippi built its largest lead of the first half, 47-17, on a dunk by Rahim Lockhart with 2:40 left.
Prairie View responded with a run, pulling within 49-25 at half and cutting the lead to 56-38 early in the second half. Gregory Burks scored 11 of his game-high 26 points during the Panthers' run.
Ole Miss put together a 16-2 run over three minutes to rebuild the lead to 74-40. Jason Flanigan hit a 3-pointer and Hicks end the run with a 3-point play with 10:35 remaining.
Lataryl Williams and Richard Kirklin had 13 points each for the Rebels. Jason Holmes and Lockhart added 12 and 10.
Patrick Willybiro had 12 points for Prairie View.
