Baseball Defeats Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Michael Rosamond and Bobby Kielty hit solo homers in the eighth inning Saturday to break an 8-8 tie and give Mississippi a 10-8 Southeastern Conference victory over Georgia.
Chad Davis (3-0) threw four scoreless innings in relief for the Rebels (28-22, 11-14 SEC). Barry Fowler (3-3) pitched the final 3 1/3 innings for Georgia (23-26, 8-18 SEC).
Bulldog starter Cliff Brand allowed five runs in the second inning, including Kielty's RBI double and a three-run homer by Brad Henderson, to put the Rebels on top 5-1.
Georgia recovered from a 7-3 deficit with five runs in the fifth, capped by Andy Osbolt's two-run homer, his 22nd of the season. The rally included RBI hits by Dustin McNally, Chris Hays, and Mark Thornhill, who also had a two-run homer in the third.
