OXFORD, Miss -- Ole Miss jumped back into the SEC play-off picture with a sweep of two seven inning games against the Vanderbilt Commodores Sunday afternoon in Oxford.

Freshman Robert Shelton hit a three-run in the fifth inning to lift the Rebels to a 3-2 win in game one. Ryan Bukvich pitched a complete game, allowing two earned runs on six hits and five walks to improve to 4-2 on the year.

Bert Snow suffered the loss for Vanderbilt to fall to 4-5, despite limiting the Rebels to just five hits.

In the nightcap, Lance Tolbert held the Commodores to one run on five hits as he went the distance in pitching the Rebels to a 5- 1 win. The complete game was the second-straight for Tolbert (4-4) and his fourth of the year.

Justin Huisman's RBI single in the second gave Ole Miss a 1-0 lead. The Rebels then added two more runs in the third and two in the fourth for a 5-0 lead.

The two wins moved the Rebels to 23-20 overall and 8-12 in the SEC. Ole Miss is now tied with Mississippi State for the final wild card spot in the conference tournament, however, the Bulldogs hold the tie breaker as they won two-of-three against the Rebels in Starkville back in March.

Vanderbilt fell to 23-18 and 5-16 in the SEC.

The Rebels play eight of their next nine on the road, starting Tuesday at Memphis. Ole Miss then travels to Alabama next weekend for a SEC series with the Crimson Tide.
