ORINDA, Calif.--The University of Oregon men's golf team finished seventh with 1481 at the Pac- 10 Championships held here Wednesday. Arizona State won the tournament for the fourth time in as many years with a 4-over par 1444. UCLA shot 355 in the final round to finish in second with 1455, while Arizona took third with 1459.
"We played poorly," said Oregon head coach Steve Nosler, "I'm not at all pleased. We need to get this tournament out of our minds now and focus on the NCAA's. It's back to the drawing board at home."
Individually, Oregon's Ben Crane finished tied for 18th with 294, while teammate Andrew Tredway finished tied for 24th with 295. Arizona State's Paul Casey won the tournament with a five-under par 283, while Stanford's Joel Kribel and California's Dan Arroyo tied for second with 285.
The Ducks will travel to NCAA West Regionals in Tucson, Arizona May 14-16.
