Men's Track and Field Competes at Sea Ray Relays

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Senior Jon Parry placed sixth in the decathlon to lead the Ole Miss men's track and field effort at the Sea Ray Relays, held at the University of Tennessee on Saturday.

Parry placed sixth in the decathlon with a point total of 7082. Parry's performance in the decathlon was the third best point total in Ole Miss history.

In other action, sophomore Larry Henderson performed in his first meet of the season at the Sea Ray Relays and placed 31st in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:55.83. Henderson, one of the team's top middle distance runners, had missed the first three meets of the outdoor season as the result of a severely sprained ankle. Junior Bernie Kuria placed 14th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 31:02.29, while sophomore Thomas Blackwell finished 26th in the 5000 meters (15:20.02).
